Man Stuck on Roof Was Not Santa

The La Grange Volunteer Fire Department rescued a man who got stuck on his roof last Wednesday, Dec. 28.

The Fire Department got the call shortly before 6 p.m. The home was in the 900 block of Lafayette St. La Grange Fire Chief Frank Menefee said he did not know why the man was on the roof, but he said firefighters found Christmas lights lying on the ground. Menefee was not sure how the man got on the roof, because there was no ladder nearby.

The man called 911 from his cell phone. Firefighters arrived and set up a ladder. The man was able to crawl down on his own. There were no injuries.
