Man Arrested in Four Peas Resale Theft
The Fayette County Narcotics Unit reviewed surveillance footage from 4 Peas Resale, where a theft had occurred from the business. The Narcotics Unit was able to identify a vehicle and suspect from the footage. The unit then located the vehicle and suspect at a residence outside the city limits of La Grange.
The Narcotics Unit was able to obtain a confession from the suspect and recovered the stolen property, which was later handed over to the La Grange Police Department to return to the business.
The suspect in this case was placed into custody on outstanding felony warrants out of Fayette County. Any Theft charges on this suspect will be pursued by the La Grange Police Department, as they have jurisdiction in this case. The unit was assisted by Deputy Lee Phillips with this investigation.
This is the second Theft case in a week that the Fayette County Narcotics Unit was able to solve for crimes that occurred within the city limits of La Grange. Quite frequently, crimes such as thefts and burglaries are connected to drug activity.
