The local Shakespeare at Winedale program, and its founder, James “Doc” Ayers were featured prominently in a lengthy story in a section front article in the June 12 edition of the Austin American Statesman. The story can still be found on the newspaper website.

To see Ayers’ students in action: Camp Shakespeare presents “As You Like It” and “Macbeth” from June 24 to July 17 at theaters in La Grange and Gonzales, as well as at the Winedale Barn.
