Local Food Survey Gains Momentum, Residents Encouraged to Respond

Despite recent winter freezes across the region, the Fayette and Colorado Counties Local Food Survey is gaining strong community participation. Organizers report that more than 150 residents and food producers have already completed the survey, with new responses arriving daily. Community leaders are now encouraging additional households to participate before the March 15 deadline.

The survey aims to better understand local food purchasing habits, availability of locally produced foods, and opportunities to strengthen the region’s food system. The collected data will help guide future programs, funding opportunities, and community initiatives designed to support local farmers and expand access to fresh, healthy food.

Many residents may already have received a printed survey in their mailbox. Community members are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete and return it. Residents also have the convenient option of completing the survey online, making participation quick and accessible. To complete the survey online, please go to www.greaterfayettevillechamber. org.

Every response plays an important role in shaping the future of local food in the region. Residents and producers alike are encouraged to share their input before March 15 to help build a stronger, more resilient local food network.
