Local Coach Wins AFV $20,000 Grand Prize

Former Schulenburg head football coach (and current Giddings head football coach) Luke Hobbs and his family won the grand prize of $20,000 on the Sunday March 8 episode of America’s Funniest Home Videos. That show was the 800th episode of the ABC series, which has been on the air for 36 years now. The video that the Hobbs family won for was entitled “Balcony Bird Buffet.” The video submitted by Luke’s wife Savannah showed the family’s youngest daughter Sadie on a balcony at the coast comically feeding, and eventually being swarmed by a bunch of seagulls.
