LGPD Responds to Reported Family Violence, Harrassment
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Dec. 31 through Jan. 7.
Family Violence
On Dec. 31, Haynie was dispatched to the 300 block of Wood Hollow regarding family violence.
On Dec. 31, Haynie was dispatched to the 300 block of Fireside regarding family violence.
Harassment
On Dec. 31, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 100 block of E. Guy where caller reported her ex was sending harassing and threatening text messages.
On Jan. 1, Meinardus talked with complainant in regard to additional harassing text and phone calls. Caller requested the officer check her storage unit which he had threatened to break into. Officer discovered the locking ring cut but nothing appeared taken.
Assault
On Jan. 1, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to an assault in the 300 block of Wood Hollow from the previous day.
Accident
On Jan. 4, Officer Kevin Currington spoke with a subject about a possible hit and run in the 200 block of E. Guadalupe.
On Jan. 6, Officer Timothy Medack was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Travis in regard to a motor vehicle accident.
Animal Complaint
On Jan. 6, Officer Steven Haynie checked out the 300 block of E. Eblin for goats in the roadway.
Agency Assist
On Dec. 31, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington in regard to an agency assist.
On Jan. 1, Keeney responded to the 100 block of E. Reed to assist another agency.
Civil Matter
On Jan. 4, Officer Curtis Zwahr spoke with a caller in the 200 block of W. Colorado regarding a civil matter.
City Ordinance Violation
On Dec. 31, Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Water in regard to fireworks.
On Jan. 1, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Horton regarding fireworks.
Disturbance
On Dec. 31, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of Cindy Lane regarding a disturbance.
On Jan. 5, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 500 block of W. Lafayette for a family disturbance.
On Jan. 7, Medack was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Jefferson regarding a disturbance.
Intoxicated Person
On Jan. 2, Keeney responded to the 200 block of W. Travis for an intoxicated person.
Loud Music
On Dec. 31, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of N. Horton regarding loud music.
On Jan. 4, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Ellinger for loud music.
Public Intoxicated
On Jan. 4, Keeney responded to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business for an intoxicated person.
Suspicious Vehicle/Person
On Jan. 2, Medack checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 1200 block of Carrol Lane.
On Jan. 4, Medack checked on a suspicious vehicle at One St. Mark’s Place .
Theft
On Dec. 31, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy 71 business in regard to a theft.
Trespassing
On Jan. 2, Haynie was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business regarding trespassing.
On Jan. 3, Medak issued a criminal trespass warning in the 2000 block of W. State Hwy 71 business.
Warrant Arrest
On Jan. 1, Medack conducted a traffic stop in the 2300 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business. Driver was arrested for a felony warrant.
