LGISD Busses Vandalized
Someone scaled the fence at the La Grange I.S.D. Bus Barn and damaged the stop arms on three school buses last week.
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath said the school called police around 8:15 a.m. last Thursday, Aug. 11, to report the damage. Police arrived to investigate and found that the stop arms on three buses had been forced open from their folded position. The damage rendered the arms inoperable. The school estimated the damage to all three buses at about $600. Gilbreath said the gates to the bus yard were closed and locked. “Someone must have climbed over the fence,” Gilbreath said. He added the school did not have any security video that could help identify the culprit or culprits. If anyone has information about this incident, please call La Grange Police at (979) 968-5806.
