LGISD Approves 2nd Year Of Hybrid Schedule

At Monday’s meeting, LGISD school board members approved the calendar for the 2026-2027 school year. This coming school year will be the second year of the two year trial of the four-day hybrid calendar.

As this year, students in 2025-2026 will go five days a week the first two months of each semester (August, September, January and February) and four days a week the other months.

Below is an outline of the approved 2026-2027 school calendar for La Grange ISD.

What will change from the 2025-2026 School Calendar?

Number of Instructional Days for Students - 160 Number of Working Days for Teachers - 171 September - Added a Professional Development Day Sept. 25.

January - Removed the Professional Development Day, Turned the first Monday into a Teacher Work Day Jan 4, Students Return on the Tuesday -Jan. 5.

March - Added a Bad Weather Day - March 12, Added a Holiday on the Monday after Easter - March 29 May - Removed the Bad Weather Day
