LGISD Announces Personnel Hires and Departures

The La Grange ISD school board of trustees approved the contract renewals and extensions for the administrative staff for the 2026-2027 school year at the February meeting.

Also approved was a oneyear probationary teacher contract for Darby Mueller at La Grange Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year.

Megan Brown was added to the staff as an elementary physical education teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

Katie Bryant transferred from elementary school food service worker to elementary school educational aide.

Resignations were received from the following staff effective at the end of their contracted term: Frederick “Freddie” Behnke - high school construction tech teacher Janna McHazlett - parttime elementary teacher (6th grade reading lab) Diana Fitzpatrick - director of finance Steven Richards - high school German teacher resigned effective immediately Skoti Frailicks - elementary educational aide resigned.
