Harmony Rogers of La Grange Elementary School won third place at the district level of the Lions International Peace Poster Contest.

For nearly four decades, the Lions International Peace Poster Contest has given children ages 11-13 the opportunity to share what peace means to them through art. Each year, Lions clubs around the world sponsor the contest in schools and organized youth groups, giving young people the opportunity to be recognized at local and international levels for their creativity in sharing their vision of peace.

The theme for 2025 was Together as One. This theme encourages contestants to express their vision of unity, global harmony, and what can be achieved when people work together.

There were 15 entries from the local Lions District this year. The La Grange Noon Lions teamed with La Grange Elementary Art Teacher Brittni Keilers to promote the contest.
