LG Police Chief Reports on March Calls
Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of March 19-25.
Animal Complaint
On March 20, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager checked on two dogs that were killing cats in the 400 block of Sherwood. Dogs could not be located.
On March 24, Officer John Wostarek responded to the 500 block of E. Walnut in regard to an animal complaint.
Accident
On March 19, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in regard to a minor accident.
On March 20-Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis in regard to an accident.
On March 21, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Jefferson in regard to an accident.
On March 23, Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Jefferson for a two-car accident with no injuries.
On March 24-Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Travis in regard to an accident.
On March 24, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a two-vehicle accident.
Agency Assist
On March 25, Officer Justin Koehne was dispatched to One St. Marks Place for an agency assist.
Civil Matter
On March 21, Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis in regard to a civil matter.
On March 23, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 200 block of S. Jefferson where complainant advised that he was kicked out of the hotel room by the manager.
On March 25, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lowerline in regard to a civil matter.
Criminal Mischief
On March 23, Sgt. Travis Anderson was advised of criminal mischief that occurred in the 600 block of E. Pearl.
Disturbance
On March 20, Wostarek was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Travis for a verbal disturbance.
On March 24, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 100 block of Rose Mayer in regard to a disturbance.
Disorderly Conduct
On March 20, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of Wood Hollow in regard to disorderly conduct.
Possession
On March 22, Officer Robin Emmons was dispatched to the 800 block of S. Vail for possession of a vape (THC).
On March 25, Archerd conducted a traffic stop in the 2300 block of W. Travis and two subjects were arrested for possession and transported to jail.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle On March 22, Haynie checked on a suspicious person in the 500 block of N. Alley.
On March 23, Keeney responded to the 200 block of E. Northpointe for a suspicious vehicle.
On March 25, Archerd checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of Mode.
On March 25, Koehne checked for several subjects walking in the 700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 business.
Theft
On March 19, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to a theft in the 200 block of Northpointe.
On March 20, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of S. Cindy Lane in regard to a theft of a license plate.
On March 21, Wostarek was dispatched to the 700 block of Washington in regard to a theft.
Traffic Stop
On March 20, Haynie conducted a traffic stop in the 400 lock of E. Travis. Citations were issued.
Trespassing
On March 22, Meinardus was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Lafayette where caller reported her ex was at the door and she wanted him trespassed. Officer wrote the subject a criminal trespass warning.
On March 25, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1900 block of Hwy. 71 business in regard to a subject that was trespassing. Subject was arrested and transported to jail.
Welfare Check
On March 20, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 in regard to a welfare check. Subject advised they were fine.
On March 24, Haynie was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Lafayette in regard to a welfare check.
Miscellaneous
On March 19, Keeney responded to the 1000 block of N. Sunset to assist a citizen.
On March 19, Meinardus took a call from an individual that advised of an RV parked on the square.
