LG and Flatonia School Boards to Have Elections

The filing deadline for candidates running for school board elections was last Friday.

In La Grange I.S.D., three candidates have filed for Place 6 on the ballot: incumbent Calvin Mersiovsky, and challengers Ryan W. Kleiber and Verlia Mosley-Rhodes. Place 7 is also up for election this year. The only candidate who filed for Place 7 is the incumbent, Dr. Karen Roberts.

Schulenburg I.S.D. will not have a contested election this year. Two spots were up for election on the board of trustees, and only the incumbents filed: Mike Zweschper and Dumas Demel.

Two spots are up for election on the Flatonia I.S.D. school board, Place 6 and Place 7. Two people filed for Place 6: incumbent Jake Bass and challenger Christina Manzano. Only the incumbent filed for Place 7, Blanca Torro Villanueva There will be no contested election for Fayetteville I.S.D. this year. Two spots were up for election, and only the two incumbents filed: Dawn Supak for Place 2 and Vincent Orsak for Place 6.

There are no seats up for election this year for Round Top-Carmine I.S.D.
