La Grange JV 38, Caldwell 0
The JV Leopards improved their district record to 2-0 last night with a 38-0 win over the Caldwell Hornets.
Touchdowns were scored by Caleb Hensley on a pass from Quade Brothers, Holdyn Cooper on a pass from Quade Brothers, Ryder Price on a pass from Quade Brothers, A rushing touchdown by Ramon Ortiz and 2 rushing touchdowns by Quade Brothers Defense played well in the shut out, and there was an interception Graham Youens.

LG 7th Grade Purple 24, Giddings 20
The 7th grade Purple Team traveled up highway 77 to take on the Giddings Buffaloes Tuesday evening. Offensive standouts were both quarterbacks Graham Moore and Ryder Klesel. Other offensive players to note were David Raby who caught the game winning touchdown pass, and Jeremiah Ferguson who scored on a long run and caught a touchdown pass. The final offensive standout was Jaxtyn Scott who caught a long touchdown pass on a trick play from the running back Tytan Sanders on a key 4th down. Some defensive outstanding players were both outside linebackers Tanner Finch and Cole Fritz. Both players had several big tackles which caused fumbles. Brodie Kelly led the team in total tackles and David Raby led the team in fumble recoveries with 2 for the night. Lastly, special teams most impactful players were kicker Giovanni Luna with a great onside kick which was recovered by Liam Darden. Luna also had another game sealing long kick which bounced to the 5 yard line leaving Giddings with little chance to go the length of the field with the final seconds ticking off the clock. In the end, La Grange took the win in a nail biter 24-20.
LG 8th Grade Purple 37, Giddings 0
The 8th graders took on rival Giddings Tuesday afternoon and came out victorious. The final score was 37-0. The defense was dominating in the game and stuffed the Giddings running attack all afternoon. The defense was led by Darius Johnson and the rest of the defensive line. Howard Holmes and Garland Hart both had fumble recoveries that led to Leopard scores. Offensively the scoring began with Traiton Broussard catching a Tristin Ulrich pass that went 70 yards for the touchdown. The next score came on a quick screen from Ulrich to Howard Holmes that went for 30 yards. Ulrich then delivered another touchdown pass to Broussard from 65 yards out. Ulrich threw his 4th touchdown pass of the night as Holmes scored another touchdown from about 30 yards out.
The final score of the game was scored by Edric Gants who pushed his way into the endzone from 2 yards out.
The Leopards will travel to Sealy this week as they seek to notch another victory.
