La Grange Police Responds to Report of Sexual Assault
Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Aug. 21-Sept. 4.
Animal Complaint
On Aug. 31, Officer John Wostarek spoke with a caller in the 600 block of S. Meyer about information for an animal complaint.
Civil Matter
On Aug. 31, Wostarek spoke with caller in the 100 block of S. Water on a civil matter.
Found Property
On Aug. 25, Officer Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 2100 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business regarding found property. On Aug. 27, Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Fannin regarding found property.
On Aug. 28, Officer Justin Koehne took possession of a wallet that was turned into the Sheriff’s office. Owner was located and it was returned.
On Sept. 2, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 500 block of N. Jefferson in response to a found package.
Possession
On Aug. 31, Anderson received a call regarding a student in possession of marijuana in the 500-block of N. Jackson.
Sexual Assault
Sept. 1, Officer Robin Emmons responded to the 800 block of S. Vail for alleged sexual assault of juvenile.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On Aug. 22, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1300 block of N. Jefferson regarding a suspicious person. Officer was unable to locate anyone.
On Aug. 22, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1900 block of State Hwy. 71 Business regarding a suspicious person.
On Aug. 24, Keeney responded to the 700 block of W. Colorado in response to a suspicious vehicle.
On Aug. 25, Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 1900 block of State Hwy. 71 business to speak to subject who saw a vehicle that may have been involved in a theft in the county. On Aug. 25, Currington was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Main for a suspicious subject. Officer arrived and subject was identified and had reason to be there. On Aug. 25, Keeney responded to the 100 block of W. Vine in response to a report of a suspicious person. On Aug. 25, Keeney responded to the 100 block of N. Washington in response to a suspicious person. On Aug. 25, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 1400 block of W. Hwy 71 Business for a suspicious subject loitering on property.
On Aug. 25, Meinardus responded to the 1800 block of W. State Hwy 71 Business for a suspicious subject. Officer issued the subject a trespass warning.
On Aug. 25, Meinardus responded to the 700 block of N. Main for a suspicious male subject who had left prior to his arrival.
On Aug. 27, Wostarek was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis for a suspicious person.
On Aug. 29, Keeney responded to the 900 block of E. Eblin in response to a suspicious person. OnAug. 29, Keeney checked the 800 lock of E. Travis for a suspicious vehicle On Aug. 30, Currington was dispatched tot the 700 block of N. Washington where resident was told by neighbor that there might be people in her garage. Officer advised no one was in the garage.
On Sept. 2, Currington was dispatched to the 1000 block of Hwy. 159 for violation of a camping ordinance. Subjects were issued warning and moved on.
On Sept. 2, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Monroe for a vehicle that has been at the location for a week. Officer arrived and found vehicle and occupant who had reason to be in the area, On Sept. 3, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Travis for a suspicious person. Officer made contact and had subject leave.
