La Grange Police Report Respond to Several Disturance Calls
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Sept. 18-25.
Alarm
On Sept. 24, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Colorado in regard to an alarm. Employee advised all was fine.
Animal Complaint
On Sept. 20, Animal control Officer Dean Ahlschlager picked up four ducks in the 700 block of S. Monroe. On Sept. 21, Ahlschlager checked on bats in the 2000 block of Hwy. 71 west. On Sept. 23, Officer Justin Koehne removed a deer hung in a fence in the 900 block of E. State Hwy. 71 business. On Sept. 23, Wostarek was dispatched to the 600 block of W. Travis in regard to an animal complaint.
Accident
On Sept. 21, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 1000 block of E. Travis for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. On Sept. 24, Wostrek responded to the 100 block of E. Travis for an accident
Criminal Mischief
On Sept. 20, Koehne met with complainant in the 200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business about a broken window on her vehicle. On Sept. 21, Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Colorado for criminal mischief.
Civil Matter
On Sept. 18, Meinardus re-sponded to the 1200 block of E. Eblin for a close patrol so caller could pick up her children.
On Sept. 19, Officer Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington in regard to a civil matter.
On Sept. 19, Wostarek spoke with a caller about information on a civil matter.
On Sept. 23, Wostarek responded to the 200 block of Ellinger Rd. for a vehicle that ran into the wall in one of the rooms.
Disturbance
On Sept. 19, Koehne spoke with individual in the 500 block of W Lowerline about loud music.
On Sept. 19, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Madison in regard to a disturbance.
On Sept. 21, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 200 block of S. Ellinger in regard to a disturbance. On Sept. 21, Keeney responded to the 700 block of E. Pearl in response to a family disturbance.
On Sept. 21, Currington was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington and arrested a subject for simple assault. On Sept. 21, Keeney spoke with complainant in the 200 block of S. Ellinger about an argument with another subject.
On Sept. 21, Keeney responded to the 1000 block of N. Madison and spoke with tenant at the apartment about yelling in his apartment. On Sept. 22, Meinardus responded to the 100 block of E. Crockett for a disturbance between subjects.
On Sept. 24, Maxwell responded to the 300 block of W. Milam for a disturbance. On Sept. 24, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Travis in regard to a possible disturbance.
Found Property
On Sept. 18, Currington met with subject in the 1000 block of N. Rosenberg who found an abandoned bicycle. Officer took bicycle to police station.
Juvenile Complaint
On Sept. 24, Maxwell checked on a juvenile in the 200 block of Ellinger Rd.
Shoplifting
On Sept. 22, Keeney responded to the 2100 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in response to possible shoplifting.
Suspicious Person/vehicle
On Sept. 18, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of N. Horton where caller stated someone banged on her door. Officer checked the location but could not locate anyone. On Sept. 19, Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Reynolds in regard to suspicious person.
On Sept. 19, Maxwell responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in regard to suspicious circumstances.
On Sept. 20, Wostrek was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Washington in regard to a suspicious person.
On Sept. 21, Keeney responded to the 100 block of W. Colorado for a suspicious person.
On Sept. 21, Maxwell responded to the 100 block of N. Main for a suspicious vehicle.
On Sept. 21, Maxwell responded to the 190 block of Hwy.159 for suspicious person.
On Sept. 22, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Travis for a subject sitting in parking lot. Officer had subject leave at the request of the caller on property. On Sept. 22, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Travis for a suspicious subject.
On Sept. 23, Maxwell was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Milam in regard to suspicious circumstances.
Theft
On Sept. 18, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy 71 business in regard to theft.
On Sept. 22, Keeney responded to the 200 block of S. Ellinger in response to a theft.
Trespassing
On Sept. 16, Currington was dispatched to the 1900 block of State Hwy 71 business for trespassing. Subject had already left when the officer arrived. On Sept. 22, Keeney responded to the 200 block of S. Ellinger in response to a trespassing complaint. On Sept. 22, Currington was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington for subject possibly trespassing. Officer arrived and one subject had left.
Terroristic Threat
On Sept. 18, Currington was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy 71 business for possible threat.
Traffic Hazard
On Sept. 21, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Von Minden for speeding vehicles. Officer arrived and ran radar.
Welfare Check
On Sept. 18, Meinardus responded to the 200 block of S. Jefferson for an elderly man on a tricycle in the middle of traffic.
On Sept. 19, Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a welfare check.
Sept. 20, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Sunset for a welfare check. On Sept. 20, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass in regard to a welfare check.
On Sept. 21, Keeney spoke with a caller about a welfare concern.
Miscellaneous
On Sept. 18, Meinardus responded to the 200 block of W. Travis for a man on a bicycle in the middle of the road. The man was gone when officer arrived.
On Sept. 19, Koehne responded to the 900 block of S. Jefferson for a subject that kept calling 911. On Sept. 20, Koehne responded to the 300 block of S. Jefferson for subject riding bike in the middle of the roadway. Officer was unable to locate the subject.
