La Grange Police Report

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Jan. 7-14.

Accidents

On Jan. 9, Officer Kevin Currington responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for an accident that resulted in a warrant arrest.

On Jan. 11, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Travis regarding an accident.

On Jan. 12, Officer Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 500 block of S. Madison regarding a two-vehicle accident.

On Jan. 13, officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis for an accident.

Animal Complaint

On Jan. 8, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Pearl for an animal complaint.

On Jan. 8, Animal Control officer Dean Ahlschlager checked on a barking dog in the 200 block of E. Guadalupe and owner advised they will take care of it.

On Jan. 9, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 1300 block of N. Jefferson regarding an animal complaint.

On Jan. 9, Ahlschlager picked up two ducks and one rooster in the 800 block of N. Monroe and took to the animal shelter.

On Jan. 14, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Milam regarding an animal complaint.

Burglary

On Jan. 9, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of S. Madison regarding a burglary. 

Civil Matter

On Jan. 8, Maxwell spoke with a caller in the 200 block of Rose Mayer regarding a civil matter.

Disturbance

On Jan. 7, Officer Timothy Medack was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Jefferson in regard to a disturbance.

On Jan. 9, Maxwell was dispatched to the 2300 block of W. State Hwy 71 business regarding a disturbance.

Fraud

On Jan. 14, Currington spoke with a subject in the 100 block of E. Guadalupe regarding mail issues and fraud.

Juvenile Complaint

On Jan. 8, Officer Jeffrey Archerd spoke with a caller in the 300 block of S. Woodhollow regarding a juvenile complaint. 

Loud Music

On Jan. 11, Medack checked out loud music in the 100 block of S. College.

On Jan. 11, Medack was dispatched to the intersection of S. Jackson and E. Pecan regarding loud persons.

Jan 13, Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of S. Franklin regarding a loud vehicle.

On Jan. 13, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Brown regarding loud music. 

Public Intoxication

On Jan. 14, Maxwell arrested a subject for public intoxication in the 1600 block of W. State Hwy 71 business.

Reckless Driving

On Jan. 12, Maxwell conducted a traffic stop for reckless driving in the 500 block of W. Lowerline. Officer arrested the subject for reckless driving.

Suspicious Vehicle/Person 

On Jan. 7, Medack checked out a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of E. Travis.

On Jan. 12, Maxwell was dispatched to the 900 block of Mode Lane in regard to a suspicious person.

Theft

On Jan. 10, Medack wa dispatched to the 200 block of Northpointe regarding theft.

On Jan. 12, Currington spoke with a subject in the 700 block of N. Washington about possible theft.

Traffic Hazard

On Jan. 12, Currington responded to the 700 block of S. Jackson for a sparking transformer. 

Welfare Check

On Jan. 11, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 300 block of N. Jackson for a welfare check.

On Jan. 11, Medack was dispatched to the 500 block of Cindy Lane for a welfare check.

On Jan. 14, Currington was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Main for a welfare check.
