Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of July 2-8: Accident
On July 8, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 for an accident.
Animal Complaint
On July 2, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Rosenberg for an animal complaint.
On July 3, Haynie was dispatched the 200 block of S. Ellinger in regard to an animal complaint.
On July 4, Meinardus responded to the 100 block of W. Tavis for ducks trying to cross the road. Officer was unable to locate the ducks.
On July 5, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager picked up a pit bull in the 400 block of S. Jackson.
On July 5, Ahlschlager picked up a dog in the 500 block of N. Rabbs Prairie. Dog was then returned to owner.
On July 6, Officer Mitchell Maxwell spoke to a caller in the 500 block of W. Lowerline in regard to an animal complaint.
On July 6, Ahlschlager picked up a squirrel in the 400 block of W Live Oak and was returned to the wild.
Burglary
On July 6, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Meadow Lane in regard to a burglary of a vehicle.
On July 6, Haynie was dispatched to the 200 block of Edgewood in regard to burglary of a vehicle.
On July 7, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 1500 block of Hwy. 159 for a burglary of a building.
On July b7, Officer Kevin Currington discovered burglary of a motor vehicle while on patrol in the 100 block of W. Pearl.
Criminal Mischief
On July 5, Office Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Pearl in regard to criminal mischief.
Citizen Assist
On July 7, Currington spoke with a citizen in the 200 block of E. Colorado about a matter.
Civil Matter
On July 4, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Jackson for a civil matter.
On July 6, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of N. Jefferson for a civil matter.
On July 6, Wotarek was dispatched to the 600 block of S. College for a civil matter.
Disturbance
On July 2, Haynie was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Pecan in regard to a family disturbance.
On July 2, Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Reed in regard to a verbal disturbance.
On July 4, Keeney responded to the 200 block of S. Ellinger in regard to a disturbance.
On July 4, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of W. Lowerline for a verbal disturbance. Subject was found to have a warrant and officer arrested the subject.
On July 7, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the 400 block of N. Main for a disturbance.
On July 7, Anderson responded to the 400 block of N. Main for a disturbance. Officer arrested a wanted subject on a felony warrant.
Disorderly Conduct
On July 4, Anderson responded to the 200 block of N. Water for discharging fireworks. Officer could not locate anything so call was cleared.
Fraud
On July 6, Officer Curtis Zwahr spoke with caller in the 500 block of Cindy Lane in regard to identity theft.
Juvenile Complaint
On July 3, Zwahr spoke with caller in the 1000 block of N. Madison in regard to juveniles.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On July 3, Keeney responded to the 2100 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business for a suspicious person.
On July 4, Anderson responded to the 2300 block of W. State Hwy 71 business for a suspicious vehicle in the drive thru at the location.
On July 5, Chief David Gilbreath responded to a vehicle on Hope Street sitting in the neighborhood at late hours with headlights on.
On July 5, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Pecan in regard to a suspicious vehicle. Officer was unable to locate.
On July 5, Maxwell checked out a suspicious person in the 400 block of E. Pecan.
On July 6, Maxwell checked out a suspicious subject in the 500 block of E. Travis.
On July 6, Haynie was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Madison in regard to a suspicious person.
Stolen Vehicle
On July 7, Zwahr took a report on a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of W. Travis.
Theft
On July 2, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy 71 business in regard to theft (pickpocketing) On July 2, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in regard to a theft.
On July 3, Meinardus took a report of a lost or stolen computer in the 700 block of E. Travis.
Trespassing
On July 2, Maxwell was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington in regard to a subject trespassing.
On July 6, Archerd spoke with a caller in the 900 block of N. Jefferson in regard to issuing a criminal trespass warning.
Welfare Check On July 2, Maxwell was dispatched to the 2300 block of W. State Hwy 71 business in regard to a welfare check.
On July 4, Anderson received a call in regard to a welfare concern in the 300 block of N. Washington.
Miscellaneous On July 2, Wostarek was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington in regard to unauthorized use of a vehicle.
On July 2, Maxwell was dispatched to the 500 block of Koening Lane in regard to loud music.
On July 3, Zwahr spoke with subject in the 600 block of N. Washington in regard to getting diesel.
On July 3, Wostarek arrested a subject in the 200 block of N. Madison for an outstanding warrant.
On July 4, Keeney responded to the 600 block of N.
Monroe for loud music.
On July 5, Haynie was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Franklin in regard to a parking violation.
On July 6, Haynie was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass in regard to a traffic hazard.
