La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of April 9-15.

Agency Assist

On April 12, Officer Kevin Currington assisted Fayette County Sheriff’s deputy on a subject who ran on foot in the 2800 block of N. Jefferson.

Animal Complaint

On April 11, Officer Brett Meinardus was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Colorado for stray dogs. Officer took the dogs to the animal shelter.

On April 13, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Horton in regard to an animal complaint.

Accident

On April 9, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Live Oak for an accident.

On April 10, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 700 block of W. Travis for an accident.

On April 12, Officer Steven Haynie responded to the 300 block of N. Jackson in regard to a single vehicle accident. Burglary

On April 13, Officer Jeffrey Archerd responded to the 800 block of Upperline in regard to a possible burglary.

Civil Matter

On April 10, Officer Curtis Zwahr spoke with subjects in the 1700 block of W. State Hwy 71 business in regard to a civil matter.

On April 14, Currington was dispatched to the 300 block of E. Milam for a civil matter.

Disturbance

OnApril 10, Officer Robin Emmons responded to the 200 block of S. Ellinger for a disturbance, and served an active warrant and possession of marijuana.

On April 10, Haynie was dispatched to the 1000 block of Hwy. 159 in regard to a disturbance.

On April 13, Haynie was dispatched to the 500 block of Cindy Lane in regard to a family disturbance.

On April 13, Haynie was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in regard to a disturbance.

On April 14, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the 800 block of E. Guadalupe In regard to a disturbance.

Discharging Firearm

On April 15, Anderson responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business for discharging firearms.

Fraud

On April 10, Keeney responded to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in response to a fraud complaint.

Grass Fire

On April 10, Anderson responded to the 1000 block of Hwy. 159 for possible structure or grass fire. Officer discovered it was a controlled burn and was putting out a lot of smoke. Resident put fire out and call was cleared.

Identity Theft

On April 12, Archerd spoke with a subject in the 3000 block of Cedar Creek in regard to identity theft.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

On April 11, Currington was dispatched to the 800 block of S. vail for a suspicious vehicle.

On April 14, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of Rose Mayer for a suspicious person.

Theft

On April 14, Keeney responded to the 900 block of E. Camp in response to a theft.

Trespassing

On April 15, Keeney responded to the 700 block of N. Washington in response to a trespassing report.

Warrant Arrest

On April 9, Haynie stopped a driver in the 500 block of W. Travis on a traffic stop and officer arrested subject on an outstanding warrant.

On April 14, Currington stopped a driver in the 1800 block of Hwy. 159 and the subject had multiple outstanding warrants.

Welfare Check

On April 11, Keeney responded to the 200 block of W. Pecan on a welfare check.

Miscellaneous

On April 10, Zwahr escorted a vehicle with a flat tire to a tire shop In the 800 block of E. Travis.

On April 12, Wostarek helped a citizen in the 500 block of W. Lowerline.

On April 13, Archerd spoke with a caller at St. Mark’s Place in regard to a citizen assist.

On April 13, Archerd was dispatched to the 500 block of S. Washington ln regard to a scam.

On April 14, Anderson spoke with complainant in the 500 block of S. Washington in regard to issues with his mother.

On April 14, Meinardus was dispatched to the 1500 block of E. State Hwy. 71 for a chair in the middle of the road.

On April 15, Meinardus was dispatched to the 600 block of E. Pearl for trash cans that had blown in the street.

On April 15, Currington responded to the 800 block of N. Scherrer for loud music.
