Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of April 2-8.
Accident
On April 3, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 600 block of E. Pecan in regard to an accident.
On April 6, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 300 block of S. Jackson for an accident.
On April 8, Officer Steven Haynie responded to the 1600 block of W. St. Hwy. 71 Business for a single vehicle accident. Animal Complaint
On April 3, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager checked on a dog bite in the 700 block of S. Jackson. Dog was fine and up to date on shots.
On April 3, Ahlschlager picked up four cats in the 700 block of E. Travis and then impounded them to the shelter.
On April 3, Ahlschlager picked up a pit bull in the 1000 block of N. Jefferson, which was then impounded.
Burglary
On April 2, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call-in regard to a burglary in the 200 block of Northpointe.
Civil Matter
On April 3, Archerd spoke with a caller in regard to a civil matter in the 2800 block of Williams Rd.
On April 7, Archerd was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington in regard to a civil matter.
On April 8, Archerd spoke with a subject in regard to a civil matter in the 500 block of W. Lowerline.
Citizen Assist
On April 5, Keeney responded to the 900 block of N. Madison for a citizen assist.
Counterfeit Money
On April 4, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Washington in regard to a counterfeit bill.
Disturbance
On April 8, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of N. Horton in regard to a disturbance. Reckless Driving
On April 2, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 700 block of E. Pearl for a white truck driving erratically. Officer unable to locate the vehicle.
On April 4, Wostarek was dispatched to the 600 block of S. Monroe in regard to a reckless driver. Officer searched the area and was unable to locate a reckless driver.
Sexual Assault
On April 2, Keeney Spoke with a caller in regard to a sexual assault.
Suspicious Vehicle/Subject
On April 2, Meinardus responded to the 600 block of E. Pearl for a suspicious vehicle.
On April 2, Keeney responded to the 2400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in response to a suspicious person.
On April 3, Archerd was dispatched to the 1400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to a suspicious person.
On April 6, Keeney responded to the 400 block of E. Travis in response to a suspicious vehicle.
On April 7, Anderson responded to the 200 block of Ellinger for a possible burglary in Progress.
On April 8, Haynie was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a suspicious phone call.
On April 8, Officer Justin Koehne checked on a suspicious person in the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business.
Theft
On April 2, Keeney spoke with individual in response to a theft in the 400 block of E. Travis.
On April 4, Archerd was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis in regard to a possible theft.
On April 5, Haynie was dispatched to the 900 block of N. Madison in regard to a theft.
On April 8, Archerd was dispatched to the 1700 block of W. State Hwy. 71 in regard to a theft.
Welfare Check
On April 2, Anderson responded to the 2300 block of N. Jefferson for a welfare concern.
On April 5, Keeney responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business for a welfare concern.
