La Grange Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of May 29 through June 5.
Accident
On May 30, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 300 block of E. Travis for a minor auto accident.
On June 3, Keeney responded to the intersection of E. Travis and S. Jefferson in response to an auto accident.
On June 3, Officer Curtis Zwahr spoke with caller in regards to an accident in the 1200 block of N. Von Minden.
Animal Complaint
On May 29, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regards to an animal complaint.
On June 3, Keeney spoke with a caller that had a puppy they needed taken to the shelter. Officer contacted animal control.
Counterfeit Money
On June 1, Zwahr received a call of possible counterfeit money passed at the location in the 300 block of N. Jefferson. Officer took information.
Criminal Mischief
On May 29, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 900 block of N. Horton for damage to complainants vehicles.
Civil Matter
On May 30, Keeney spoke to complainant about a person to be evicted in the 100 block of E. Colorado. Due to it being a civil matter complainant was advised to contact the JP.
On May 30, Keeney spoke with complainant in the 1000 block of S. Madison about her ex-husband taking a golf cart and not returning it.
On June 2, Officer Robin Emmons responded to the 2000 block of Hracek for a child custody matter.
Disturbance
On May 31, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of Lowerline for a disturbance. Officer spoke with several subjects about the incident. Subjects were separated for the night.
On May 31, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of S. Main in regards to a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and spoke with several subjects. One subject was arrested and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
On June 2, Meinardus responded to the 100 block of E. Crockett for a dispute and parties were separated. No family violence occurred.
Driving While Intoxicated On June 4, Wostarek was
On June 4, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1800 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass in regards to a male subject sleeping in a vehicle in the drive through line. Subject was arrested for driving wile intoxicated and transported to the Dan R. Beck justice Center.
Found Child
On June 1, Meinardus responded to the 600 block of S. Jefferson where caller advised a child came to the restaurant that stated he could not enter his home. Officer returned the child to his mother.
Harassment
On June 3, Keeney responded to the 500 block of W. Lowerline in response to a report of harassment.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On May 31, Emmons responded to the 900 block of S. Jefferson for a white male thumbing for a ride.
On June 2, Zwahr responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 400 block of S. Ellinger. Vehicle was gone upon officers arrival.
On June 2, Meinardus responded to the 300 block of W. Northline for a suspicious person walking on the street.
On June 3, Keeney responded to the 1000 block of Hwy.159 in response to a suspicious vehicle. No one was the vehicle and officer was told the complainant wanted it removed. It was the stores decision.
Terroristic Threat
On June 2, Zwahr responded to the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for threat.
Theft
On June 2, Anderson received a call for theft of service in the 600 block of S. Jefferson.
On June 3, Emmons responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for theft.
Welfare Check
On May 29, Anderson received a call in regards to a welfare check in the 700 block of W. Travis.
On May 31, Zwahr searched the area in the 400 block of E. Travis for a subject walking and carrying an infant. Officer was unable to locate any subjects matching the description.
On June 2, Anderson responded to the 900 block of E. Travis for a welfare concern.
Miscellaneous
On June 1, Zwahr spoke with a caller in the 100 block of S. Reynolds for missing medications.
On June 3, Officer Justin Koehne responded to the 1000 block of N. Madison for subjects yelling at people. No one was located.
On June 4, Keeney received a complaint from a citizen about a subject continuously violating traffic laws in the 300 block of Hanacek Ln.
On June 4, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lafayette in regards to loud music. Officer arrived on location and subject turned off music.
