La Grange ISD Campus Improvement Plans Stated

The campus improvement plans for each of the three LGISD campuses were accepted by the board at their meeting last Monday. The goals for La Grange Elementary are: 1. La Grange Elementary will ensure academic performance and achievement levels reflecting excellence in learning and attainment of both high expectations and high standards for all students in all areas of study.

2. La Grange Elementary will provide a safe and secure learning environment for staff/students that will foster positive student behavior and promote wellness which will help students attendance and academic success.

3. La Grange ISD will promote a feeling of pride in our schools through communication and involvement within the community which will impact parent and community support of students success in their learning.

4. La Grange ISD will implement and use current technology to increase the effectiveness of student learning, instructional management, staff development, and administration.

5. La Grange Elementary School will improve the STAAR component target for both math and reading for ELs (English Learners) and Eco Dys.

6. La Grange Elementary will work collaboratively with the curriculum department to ensure teachers’ understanding of the depth and complexity of their TEKS, implementing the YAG consistently, and strengthening the instructional practices in the classroom.

The goals for La Grange Middle School are:

1. La Grange Middle School will provide a challenging instructional program to promote high expectations and achievement for all students.

2. La Grange Middle School will recruit, equip, and retain highly effective staff.

3. La Grange Middle School will provide a safe and secure learning environment for staff/students that will foster positive student behavior and promote wellness.

4. La Grange Middle School will implement and use the current technology to increase the effectiveness of student learning, instructional management, staff development, and administration.

5. La Grange Middle School will promote a feeling of pride in our schools through communication and involvement within the community.

The goals for La Grange High School are:

1. The district will ensure academic performance and achievement levels, reflect excellence in learning, and attainment of both high expectations and high standards for all students.

2. La Grange ISD will provide a challenging instructional program to promote high expectations and achievement for all students 3. La Grange ISD will recruit, equip, and retain excellent staff.

4. La Grange ISD will provide a safe and secure learning environment for staff/students that will foster positive student behavior and promote wellness.

5. La Grange ISD will promote a feeling of pride in our schools through communication and involvement within the community.

6. La Grange ISD will implement and use current technology to increase the effectiveness of student learning, instructional management, staff development, and administration.

7. La Grange ISD will promote fiscal responsibility in all aspects of district functions.

The district improvement plan was also accepted by the board at Monday night’s meeting. The district goals are as follows: 1. La Grange ISD students will demonstrate mastery of grade level and be college, career, or military ready.

2. La Grange ISD Tier I and Tier II students will be appropriately assessed, provided targeted interventions, and demonstrate growth in their identified areas of need.

3. La Grange ISD will provide a safe and secure learning environment for staff/students that will foster positive student behavior and promote wellness.

4. Processes, policies, and expectations will be communicated with clarity and implemented with fidelity by campus and district leaders.

5. La Grange ISD staff will be well supported and highly effective.

6. La Grange ISD will provide appropriate facilities to enhance instructional effectiveness and support the school learning environment.

7. La Grange ISD will promote fiscal responsibility in all aspects of district functions.
