Of Kolaches & Co. Judge Candidates

The run-off race for Fayette County judge between Josh Vandever and Josh Homan has sort of taken a back seat to the more immediate $90 million LGISD Bond election.

That’s understandable because the bond election day is May 2 and the county judge run-off election day is May 26.

But the Joshes were back in the spotlight Saturday at Schulenburg Sausagefest.

They both competed in the celebrity kolache eating contest, with Homan prevailing.

A more serious face-off between the two will occur Tuesday May 12 at 6 p.m. in Schulenburg’s American Legion Hall. The event will be a town hall-style event with audience submitted questions.

First day of early voting in the county judge run-off is May 18.
