KJZT St. Anne’s Society Meeting Held August 16

The meeting of the KJZT St. Anne’s Society No. 10 was called to order at 1 p.m. on Aug. 16 at St. John’s Recreation Hall. President Mary Jane Toddy opened the meeting with prayers for all living members and their families and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 11 members present, including state director Edith Streider.

Rose Rohde read the minutes from the previous meeting. Helen Wied reported on cards received and sent out and Lois Kaspar gave the Treasurer’s report.

In old business, Mary Jane reported on the Flag Day pictures with the Mayor in June and the District meeting in July which was held in Industry. The basket donation to the KJT fundraiser was moved to October.

In new business, Mary Jane reminded members of upcoming important dates. Election of Officers will be held at the November meeting and the 2024 District Meeting will be held in Nada.

Attendance prize winner was Mary Dybala and the next meeting will be held Tuesday, Nov. 21.

During the closing prayer for all deceased members, two recently passed members, Lillian Kramr and Marilyn Hart, were recognized. After the meeting was adjourned, lunch and social followed.
