KC Donates to We Care in Texas Inc.

On Oct. 14, The Knights of Columbus La Grange Council No. 2574 presented a check for $1,000.00 to We Care in Texas Inc., a maternity ministry in Central Texas. This charity is a very important one to the Knights of Columbus, who believe that life is precious. They believe it is paramount to support women in crisis pregnancies. The organization, We Care in Texas, provides pregnancy counseling to women during and after pregnancy with material aid, job training and spiritual guidance. This 501c3 ministry provides safe housing in a Christian environment. Their brochure states that they guide pregnant women “with Christian programs to show them they are not alone. God has a good plan for them and their baby.” The Knights of Columbus members in attendance pictured left to right were Daniel Kuehn, Hector Cervantez, Deputy Grand Knight, and Al Henneke.
