James Herbrich Running For County Attorney

I am writing to introduce myself to all the voters of Fayette County asking for your vote electing me to the position of County Attorney. I believe my combination of legal experience and drive for justice make me an ideal candidate for this position. I am confident that I could make a significant contribution to the office and community.

Fayette County is and has been my home for as long as I can remember. I was born here, raised here, and will remain here. My wife and our five children are also Fayette County natives. As a fourth generation resident of Fayette County, my roots run deep. I began my career in Victoria as an Assistant District Attorney, and after receiving several promotions, I left my position overseeing the Felony Theft Division to move back to Fayette County. We sold our home, I took a thirty-two thousand dollar pay cut, and gave up my second career as a registered nurse to move back home. Having served 19 years as your Assistant County Attorney, I have dedicated my career to protecting and serving the citizens of Fayette County. During my tenure, we at the County Attorney’s office prosecuted well over ten thousand cases, handled civil cases, defended children, represented victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, prosecuted felony cases including murder, aggravated sexual assault, aggravated assault, and provided legal counsel to Commissioner’s Court.

Furthermore, I am passionate about justice and have a strong desire to see the law properly upheld. I believe in advocating for the rights of victims and ensuring that justice is served. I am committed to working with all of Fayette County to ensure all citizens are treated fairly and that criminals are held accountable for their actions.

I have garnered the support of law enforcement, the judiciary, commissioner’s court, and my colleagues. My endorsements include County Attorney Peggy Supak, Sheriff Keith Korenek, Judge Ed Janecka, Judge Joe Weber, Constables William Roensch and Roger Wunderlich, Chiefs of Police David Gilbreath and Troy Brenek, Lee County Attorney Martin Placke, City attorney Angela Beck and many more. My volunteer activities include various positions within my church, neighboring churches, Farm Bureau, War on Drugs, Crime Stoppers, Boy Scouts, Fayette County Fair, fundraising for various causes, and a variety of other volunteer activities that support our county. I appreciate all the support shown thus far and look forward to meeting more members of Fayette County who support my goal of becoming your next County Attorney.
