Honeybee Removal in La Grange

  • Local beekeeper Don White uses a homemade vacuum contraption to remove a hive of honeybees from a yard at the corner of Horton St. and Reed St. in La Grange. La Grange Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager called on White after the bees moved into a water meter at the property. White said the vacuum sucks up the bees and transfers them to a cage unharmed. White relocated the hive to his place in the country, where they will go to work for him making honey.
