2023 Year-End Road and Bridge Reports
This year was another good year for Precinct One Road and Bridge. We got a lot accomplished despite weather not cooperating with us. The excessive heat and lack of rain made our job a little more difficult this year.
Roadwork: Mueller Road-paved 2.5 miles and reworked 0.35 miles, Morgan Road-paved 0.8 miles. Hauled road base to the following roads: Goehring Road, Greenscreek Road, Bell Settlement Road, West Point River Road, Davis Road, West Point Depot Road, Bush Road, and Old Lockhart Road.
Bridge work: Reiss Road-Installed six foot box culverts and built concrete wing walls. Goehring Road – removed a low-water crossing on Cummins Creek and constructed a 150 foot long bridge 24 feet wide (this project was done with Precinct 2, Cummins Creek is the Precinct boundary line).
Precinct One has had an increased amount of heavy truck traffic this year. Therefore, maintenance of the roads has become more difficult. However this continues to be a high priority. I would like to thank the employees of Precinct One for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. I would like to recognize all the employees of our County for making this a great place to call home. If you have questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me. I am always willing to listen and help in any way that I can.
