Heritage Fest Held at Czech Center

Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center (TCHCC) held its annual Heritage Fest and Muziky on Saturday, Oct. 15. A big crowd gathered at the Czech Village on the TCHCC grounds to watch demonstrations of a sawmill, printing press, blacksmithing, and all sorts of agricultural machinery. There was also a huge car and tractor show. Kraig Parker’s Elvis Royal Tribute Band and Brass was supposed to headline the event in the Sanford Schmid Amphitheater that night. TCHCC announced Saturday that the show was canceled because Parker was under medical care and could not perform. They subsequently announced that they rebooked Parker for a performance on Nov. 12.
