Here’s Info on How to Get a Free Thanksgiving Meal or Buy One for Another Family This Holiday

Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching this year and that means Feed the Need is distributing Gobble Kits. This fall, you can make a difference for a family in need in your community by donating a Gobble Kit which is a Thanksgiving meal, complete with a turkey and all the trimmings for an entire family.

To do this we reach out to our community and ask you to take a bag with a shopping list on it, fill it with all of the non-perishable ingredients, add a note of encouragement, provide a monetary donation of $20 to cover the cost of the turkey, and return it to us. Feed the Need gathers the funds and buys turkeys to hand out with the bags of groceries so every family that has signed up receives everything needed to prepare a thanksgiving meal free of charge. Clinic The UPS Store Alpha One Ford National Bank and Trust Crosspoint Community Church The completed Gobble Kits can be returned to Fayette Co Veterinary Clinic or the location you picked the bag up from.

Anybody wanting to sign up to receive a gobble kit can come to our normal weekly Feed the Need site in La Grange, on the square, Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Every Monday we set up at that same location preparing a hamburger and hot dog meal for the community. Our goal is to consistently feed people in our community both physically and spiritually through a hot meal and the love of Jesus Christ. Everyone is welcome, YOU are welcome.

The gobble kits will be distributed to the families on Monday Nov. 21 at our regular Feed the Need site on the square in La Grange, so signs up are going on now through Nov. 14.
