Heat Wave Hits Fayette County
It’s been a hot July. High temperatures in La Grange reached 100 degrees or more every day this month except one.
That exception came on July 1, when the high was only 99.
According to the LCRA weather station on the Colorado River above La Grange, the temperature came up to 104 degrees on the afternoon of Saturday, July 2. The mercury hit 103 four days in a row – Monday, July 4, through Thursday, July 7. The temperature in La Grange got up to 104 again on Friday and then 107 on Saturday before reaching a blistering 109 on Sunday, July 10.
Forecasters expect the weather pattern to change by the weekend, with highs dropping below 100 degrees for the a few days, let’s hope.
