Halloween Fun Starts Early Here
Halloween is this Tuesday and is predicted to be one of the coldest ever locally with temperatures barely climbing out of the 40s. The annual trick-or-treat on the square in La Grange is Tuesday Oct. 31 from 4-6 p.m. And while that day may not the best trick-ortreating weather, local kids have had lot of opportunities for Halloween fun leading up to Oct. 31.
La Grange ISD held a trunk-or-treat hosted by local businesses and non-profits set up in the elementary parking lot with an adjacent Halloween carnival full of games run by teachers. The event drew hundreds.
Tuesday the Fayette Public Library hosted a Halloween Carnival that drew another huge crowd.
The 11th Annual Turtle Wing Monster Dash was held on Sunday, Oct. 22 in Schulenburg at Jack & Marys. The event included over 20 booths of local organizations handing out candy, putting on games, and giving out prizes. Adults and kids alike got to see who’s the fastest in town in the Monster Dash Race, and the event concluded with a performance by On Pointe Dance Studio, featuring the amazing Dancing Turtles.
