Greeson Declares Candidacy For Texas House District 85
Native Texan Tim Greeson has declared his run to become the conservative representative for the people of Austin, Colorado, Fayette, Fort Bend, Waller, and Wharton counties. Greeson campaigns against first-term incumbent, Stan Kitzman.
Greeson said, “As a longtime Republican, I know that our party has the right principles. It’s crucial that our representative vote according to Republican and conservative standards – small government, less spending, fewer regulations, and putting Texans first. After studying Kitzman’s record in office, I find that he votes too many times with lobbyists and Democrats. I have the facts of his vote record to demonstrate that, such as his vote to reconsider a prolife amendment that caused it to fail, his vote approving a study of a mileage tax, or his vote to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton.”
“Texans don’t need the government to know where their vehicle is all of the time, and we don’t need a taxpayerfunded study to know that. I find his vote record careless in matters like this. It certainly isn’t the way Republicans would vote,” Greeson added.
“Reagan was right when he said that the nine most terrifying words in the English language are ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’ We need less government in our lives, not more. That’s why I’m running, and voters from all over the district are responding well to having a choice in the Republican primary on March 5. I look forward to meeting the voters and candidly addressing the facts.” Greeson concluded.
Greeson is a Christian, a husband to Jessica, a father to two young girls, an Aggie, and a small businessman who lives in Sealy. For questions, call (281) 352-4638.
