Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter Update

As of Jan. 13, the total intake for the Gardenia E. Jannsen Animal Shelter is 56: 31 dogs and 25 cats in need. As of Jan. 13, the shelter has 80 animals in care: 20 dogs/60 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.

Spay and neuter is the only way to manage the stray, unwanted dog and cat population in Fayette County. The shelter offers a discount voucher program for the citizens of Fayette County for the spay/neuter of family pets. Call the shelter at (979) 966-0021 for more information.
