Pagel Cemetery

The Hostyn/Plum annual scholarship fish fry and bake sale will be held Friday, March 31 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the La Grange KC Community Center. Drivethru only meal will consist of fried fish, buttered potatoes, pinto beans, and cole slaw. Plates are $14. All funds from the bake sale and fish fry benefit the Hostyn/Plum Scholarship Fund. Ths is the last Lenten fish fry.

The Pagel Cemetery Association will have a General Clean-up/Decoration Day at the Pagel Cemetery in Willow Springs on Saturday, April 8 beginning at 9 a.m. Anyone who needs additional information should contact Rebecca Rabon at (713) 371-2319 or email Rebecca-Rabon@gmail.com.

Fyaette Gun Club

The Fayette County Gun Club will host a Flash Miller fun shoot on Saturday, April 22 beginning at 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Shotgun, rifle, and pistol. Open to the public. Call (979) 484-7177 for more information.

There’s more The Fayette County Beekeepers Association (FaycoBeeks) will have their next meeting on Saturday, April 1, at the Fayette County Agriculture Building in La Grange, located at 255 Svoboda Ln. For new beekeepers, there will be a Beekeeping 101 presentation starting at 4:30 p.m. and it will be a great opportunity to meet up with experienced beekeepers who can serve as mentors and advisors. A potluck dinner will follow, and guests are welcome to bring their favorite sides/desserts. Afterwards, there will be a business meeting, an open discussion on bee-things, and possible guest presentation. Membership dues for 2023 are $25/year, individual or family. Membership is not required to attend the meeting, FaycoBeeks welcomes all new members and especially encourages young beekeepers and their families to join. Regular meetings are the first Saturday of even-numbered months (April, June, etc.) More information on FaycoBeeks can be found at faycobeeks.org.

LG Noon Lions Club Guest Speakers

The La Grange Noon Lions meet on Thursdays at 12 noon until 1 p.m. at Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club in La Grange.
