The St. James Episcopal Men’s Club (The Holy Smokers) will hold a barbecue on Saturday, June 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out at 156 N. Monroe St. across from H-E-B A half chicken is $5 and sausage link is $7. The meal is drive through only. This barbecue is for the benefit of St. James Preschool.
The Fayette County Republican Party will hold their second quarter meeting on Saturday, June 10 at Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club, 575 Country Club Dr. in La Grange. Speakers will be Sgt. Josh Banda with the new Texas DPS office in La Grange and Wes Virdell with Gun Owners of America. This will be a very informative meeting, please plan to attend. Florida Chapel Cemetery Assoc.
The Florida Chapel Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting on Sunday, June 11 at 2 p.m. at the Muesse Chapel. The meeting is open to the public. Election of officers will be held. Ledbetter Homecoming June 11
The annual Ledbetter Homecoming will be held Sunday, June 11 at the Ledbetter Firemen’s Park in Ledbetter. Registration and decoration of the graves at Ledbetter Cemetery with a meeting and memorial service to follow begins at 9:30 a.m. Enjoy bingo, a fried fish meal served with beans, cole slaw and hush puppies for $15 per plate, and a silent auction from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Raffle tickets can be purchased from members of the Ledbetter Volunteer Fire Department. Desserts will be sold by the Ledbetter Homemaker’s Club. The Ledbetter Homecoming is sponsored by the Ledbetter Volunteer Fire Department, Ledbetter Homemaker’s Club and the Ledbetter Cemetery Association.

Retired Teachers Meeting
The Fayette County Retired Teachers’Association will meet on Monday, June 12. Fellowship time is 1:45 p.m. and the meeting will be at 2 p.m. The meeting is in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church, 1215 N. Von Minden, La Grange. Fayette County Community Theatre Fayette County Community Theatre has a few spots left in its annual week-long Middle School/High School Workshop to be held Monday, June 12 through Friday, June 16, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at the La Grange ISD Performing Arts Center. It is open to middle and high school students county-wide and will include acting foundation, voice and diction, lighting and sound, costumes and makeup, and a showcase performance. Hostyn KJT BBQ Pork Steak Dinner The Hostyn KJT Society No. 3 will hold their annual drivethru fundraiser on Wednesday, June 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the La Grange KC Community Center. Food Truck in Fayetteville
The Central Texas Food Bank mobile food pantry will be in Fayetteville on Wednesday, June 14, not June 7 as previously stated. Distribution is 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and is a walk up distribution.
American Legion Auxiliary #102
The American Legion Post #102 and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #102 will meet for their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 14, at 6 p.m. at the VFW Home located at Veterans Memorial Drive at the Fair Grounds in La Grange. The Auxiliary Scholarships will be awarded to the four recipients by the Unit prior to the meeting. Members are encouraged to attend to discuss regular business matters. New potential members are invited to attend. A meal will be served prior to the meeting.

Parkinson’s Support Group
The monthly meeting of the Parkinson’s Support Group will be held June 15 at 10 a.m. in Building D of the Randolph Recreation Center. These meetings are open to anyone diagnosed with the illness and their caregivers, plus their children, grandchildren, or basically anyone interested in finding out more about PD. All are welcome.
