Hermann Sons Life Rutersville will have their regular monthly meeting Wednesday, June 7 at 7 p.m. The meal will be hamburgers and members are asked to bring a side or dessert
The Fayette County Republican Party will hold their second quarter meeting on Saturday, June 10 at Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club, 575 Country Club Dr. in La Grange. Speakers will be Sgt. Josh Banda with the new Texas DPS office in La Grange and Wes Virdell with Gun Owners of America. This will be a very informative meeting, please plan to attend. Holy Smokers BBQ
The St. James Episcopal Men’s Club (The Holy Smokers) will hold a barbecue on Saturday, June 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out at 156 N. Monroe St. across from H-E-B A half chicken is $5 and sausage link is $7. The meal is drive through only. This barbecue is for the benefit of St. James Preschool.
There’s more The 70th annual Freudenberg-Kirchhofer family reunion will be held Sunday, June 4 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church Plum Hall, 126 Plum Church Rd. Air conditioned hall, playground, covered patio. A noon meal consisting of barbecue chicken, sausage, brisket, pork butt will be provided for a nominal charge. Each family is requested to bring a side dish and/or dessert, along with your favorite beverage. Tea and water will be provided. Items for silent auction are welcome. Florida Chapel Cemetery Association
The Florida Chapel Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting on Sunday, June 11 at 2 p.m. at the Muesse Chapel. The meeting is open to the public. Election of officers will be held. Retired Teachers Meeting
The Fayette County Retired Teachers’Association will meet on Monday, June 12. Fellowship time is 1:45 p.m. and the meeting will be at 2 p.m. The meeting is in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church, 1215 N. Von Minden, La Grange. Fayette County Community Theatre Fayette County Community Theatre has a few spots left in its annual week-long Middle School/High School Workshop to be held Monday, June 12 through Friday, June 16, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at the La Grange ISD Performing Arts Center. It is open to middle and high school students county-wide and will include acting foundation, voice and diction, lighting and sound, costumes and makeup, and a showcase performance. Juneteenth Parade in La Grange

Sewing Workshop in Round Top A free sewing workshop class will be held on June 17 for ages 10 to 18 with instructor Cathy Gau. Class size is limited to ten. Students will learn to make a pillow case that they will take home. The library will provide pillow case kits and sewing machines. A parent or guardian must be present with kids age 10-12.
