Vietnam Veterans

Feed the Need, a non-profit organization whose mission is to feed people physically and spiritually, will provide free burgers every Monday at 6:30 p.m. in La Grange at the south east corner of the courthouse square. Everyone is welcome.

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 870 will meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Ammannsville KJT Hall located in Ammannsville. Food and refreshments will be available after the meeting. Members and prospective members are encouraged to attend.

Marine Corps

Beyond Grief

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support

Loss of a Child Support Group

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Artist Reception and Awards

Pastel Society of Southeast Texas andArts for Rural Texas bring the beauty of pastels to international artists and collectors. The Artists’ Reception and Awards Presentation will be held on Saturday, April 15 from 4-6 p.m. The exhibition can be viewed from April 15 to May27 at theARTS Ross Gallery in Fayetteville. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday.

Bingo for Seniors

Bing for seniors will be held at the Ledbetter Community Center on Sunday, April 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. Doors open at 1:15 p.m. 60 and older plus guests are welcome. $5 card covers all games with prizes awarded for each game. Chips, snacks and drinks will be available for free will donation. This is a non-profit community event for entertainment. Money collected will be used for purchase of prizes and other expenses.

Black Jack Springs Cemetery Association The 2023 Annual Decoration Day at the Black Jack Springs Cemetery will be held on Sunday, April 16 at 2:30 p.m.

The Ellinger Hermann Sons Life will be meeting on Monday, April 17 at 6 p.m. at the Ellinger Fire Station.

Fayette Water Supply Meeting

Fayette Water Supply Corporation will be conducting a meeting of the board of directors on Monday, April 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the FWSC office located at 200 Bordovsky Rd. in La Grange.All members are encouraged to attend.

City of La Grange Spring Clean Up City of La Grange Spring Clean Up Week is designated April 17-21. The City will pick up one free load of brush during the week. If you have logs, please seperate them from the branches. Make sure there is no trash mixed in with the brush. The following schedule will be obsered: April 17-18, south side of the city (Travis St.-Hwy.71 Business) and April 19-20, north side of the city. Whataburger in La Grange will host Oh! WhataNight Fundraiser for the La Grange Middle School Student Council Tuesday, April 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at this location only, dine in or drive thru. VFW Post 5254 & Auxiliary

A light meal and meetings will be held by the La Grange Fayette Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 5254 and Auxiliary on Tuesday, April 18, at the VFW Home at the Fairgrounds in La Grange. Meeting time for the VFW Auxiliary is 5 p.m. A joint VFW and Auxiliary light meal will be served at 6 p.m. followed by the VFW Post meeting. New potential members are invited to attend.

Winedale Lunch & Learn

New Programs at Library

The Fayette Public Library is happy to announce a new program. Crafternoon at the library will be held the third Tuesday of every month from 4-6 p.m. Crafternoon will offer themed DIY crafts recommended for adults and teens 16 and older. Anime Club at the Library

Do you love to watch anime, read manga, draw, and have fun? Join the Anime Club at the Fayette Public Library, open to ages 1418. Fayette County Republican Women The Fayette County Republican Women will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, April 20 at La Grange City Hall, 155 E. Colorado in La Grange. There will be two speakers. Amy Mundy, District Director from Texas Federation of Republican Women, will give a brief history of TFRW and its impact on Republican politics over the past several decades. Also, Cindy Seigel, Harris County Republican Party Chairman, will share what they are doing in her county to restore election integrity. La Grange Senior Citizens Group

The La Grange Senior Citizens annual meeting/luncheon will be held at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 E. Pearl St. in La Grange, on Thursday, April 20. Registration will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Cash door prizes will be awarded to ten lucky attendees who have registered by 10:15 a.m. The meeting starts at 10:30 a.m., followed by a program presented by Fayette Savings Bank on “Financial Interests for Senior Citizens.” Lunch consisting of chicken breast and sides will be served at 11:30 a.m. for $5.
