Flatonia Sweep Louise, RTC Sweeps Dime Box

• The Flatonia girls basketball team beat Louise Tuesday 81-12 as the Lady Bulldogs improved to 29-3 overall and 10-0 in district. Summer Sodek had a triple-double with 35 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Abbie Uzzell scored 13, Dani Vinklarek 11, Kalen Scott seven, Jalee Trussell six, Kennedy Dornak three, and Eliana Herrera, Maria Rojas and Jatlee Grifaldo two.

The Flatonia girls play at Weimar Tuesday.

• The Flatonia boys Basketball Team beat Louise Tuesday night 64-36. Leading scorers were Abe Saavedra 21, Jaylon Anderson 19 and Adrian Anderson 10. Next up for the Bulldogs is Weimar on Friday.

• The Round Top-Carmine girls basketball team bashed Dime Box Tuesday 81-21 to improve to 9-11 overall and 7-3 in district. Bree Dooley led the way for the Cubettes in scoring with 13 points. Halle Phoenix scored 12. Liliana Salinas scored 11, Hayden Kasmiersky 10, Morgan Nelius eight, Avery Lamson six, Jaylen Bage five, Madison Markwardt four, Caydan Nelius four, Rebekah Sacks four, Reagan Williams two and Brooklyn Gold two.

• The Round Top-Carmine boys basketball team defeated Dime Box Tuesday 48-42 to improve to 10-14 overall and 4-4 in district. Facundo Cerda led the way for the Cubs with 29 points. Tre’Veon Fisher scored six, William Neese five, Cash Robertson three, Kash Wessels three and Caden Tovey two.
