Flatonia ISD to Host ‘Yammy Wammy 3’ Student Art Showcase

Flatonia ISD is thrilled to announce the return of its annual district-wide art showcase, “Yammy Wammy 3,” hosted at the Southern Produce Gallery. This third annual collaboration with renowned sculptor and furniture designer Harry Siter celebrates the creative achievements of over 400 local students.

The exhibition debuts with an Opening Reception on Thursday, March 19, from 4 - 8 p.m. Guests can enjoy snacks provided by the Flatonia Elementary PTO, who will also be displaying an array of raffle gift baskets.

Exhibition Highlights:

Elementary Self-Portrait Gallery: A massive installation featuring individual works from over 340 artists in grades 1-5, plus a few hidden surprises.

Secondary Showcase: A sophisticated collection of drawings, paintings, and sculptures created by students in grades 7-12.

Community Effort: Students have spent two months preparing their portfolios, supported by countless hours of help from parent volunteers.

Viewing Schedule:

The gallery, located at 117 W. 7th Street, will be open to the public during regular hours (Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. through April 4.

Additionally, the show will offer special extended hours during the Flatonia Wildflower Rally in the Alley on Sunday, March 22, from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
