Few Power Outages Amidst Winter Weather
Fayette Electric Cooperative (FEC) was happy to report minimal outages during the winter storm. FEC said the outages that did occur were due to high winds rather than frozen precipitation. Last Friday, Jan. 12, FEC had two power outages in their service territory – one in the Warda area and one in the Ammansville area. There were trees on the line near our Warda substation, affecting approximately 234 members in the Warda and Clear Lake Pines area. In addition, FEC said a pole came down on FM 1383, which affected power for approximately 23 members in the Ammannsville area. Contractor crews were able to replace the damaged pole.
