Feed the Need, a non-profit organization whose mission is to feed people physically and spiritually, will provide free burgers every Monday at 6:30 p.m. in La Grange at the south east corner of the courthouse square. Everyone is welcome.
Texas Heroes Museum Hours
The Texas Heroes Museum has expanded its hours of operation to include Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. The museum is also open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays from 1 to 4 p.m. However, the museum is closed all weekend for Easter.
FUMC Sages & Saints
Join First United Methodist Church Sages & Saints Craftnight at the Fellowship Hall Thursday, April 13 from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Come and join the fun and paint rocks. Soup and sandwiches will be served. Bring a dessert and a friend.
Republican Party District Meeting
Republican Party Senate District 18 Chairpersons will host their second quarter district-wide meeting on Saturday, April 15, at the Texas A&M AgriLife building, 255 Svoboda Ln., in La Grange. Speakers throughout the day will focus on the topic “Advocating for Our Children”. Additionally, Senator Kolkhorst and all Republican House Representatives in SD18 have been invited and will attend as their legislative duties allow. Registration is from 8-9 a.m. The meeting will start at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. A light lunch will be provided. There is no charge to attend but RSVPs are requested for planning purposes. Grief Support Retreat
Sacred Heart Catholic Church Family Center located at 306 S. Glendale in Hallettsville will host a Grief Support Retreat on Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. (doors open at 9:30 a.m.). Snacks and lunch will be provided. Coping with the death of a child is difficult and this gathering will give you the opportunity to listen to other parents whose children have died. Food Bank Truck in Waldeck
The Central Texas Food Bank truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the junction FM-1291 and FM-2145 on Saturday, April 15 from 10 to 11 a.m. Food distribution will be walk-up method. Volunteers will distribute the food from tables as clients walk-thru the line making their selections. Every client needs to bring their own sturdy reusable bags and boxes. Wagons will be furnished by CTFB.
Bake Sale Benefit
Mrs. Rangel’s 8th grade homeroom class at La Grange Middle School is having a bake sale in front of Julie B’s in La Grange on Saturday, April 22 from 8:30 am until sold out. The bake sale will benefit the La Grange Randolph Recreation Center Summer Camp Program to help with supporting student activities, participation and extra equipment. Please come out and help our local youth. Donations of puzzles, educational games and board games for ages 5-12 are also being accepted. Please drop off donations at the bake sale or at the middle school office.

Round Top Family Library has weekly storytime for 3 and 4 year olds everyWednesday from 10:15 a.m. until 11 a.m. A parent or guardian must be present.
Shake Russell Round Top Rifle Hall Enjoy Shake Russell in a special concert for Library Giving Day on Friday, April 28 at the Round Top Rifle Hall located at 710 FM 1457. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and music begins at 7 p.m. This is a free concert.
