Fayetteville Students Honored, Prom Coming Up, Special Recipe
Fayetteville ISD students Keagan Supak and Karson Corn earned TABC All-Region Basketball honors.
March 24 is a student holiday.
The Dance Under the Moonlight Prom will take place on Saturday, April 1 at the historic Casino Hall.
St. Paul
St. Paul Lutheran is building new sidewalks and parking spaces, all approved by the City Council. The churchfunded project involves six ADA-compliant handicap parking spaces and sidewalks along the side of the church.
The church supports the community in multiple ways. Just a few examples include offering kitchen space on Tuesdays when the Meals on Wheels organization prepares meals for distribution. Church suppers are served on Wednesdays, and quilting takes place on Thursdays. At Christmas, they offer a space for the Fayetteville Christmas Choir to fine-tune at practice.
Children raised in the church are gifted with special items to support their faith journey through life. When a child is baptized, they are given a faith chest to fill with the prayer pillow they receive at two years of age and at high school graduation, a quilt made by ladies in the quilting group.

Combine the butter, white sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer set on high speed until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time; stir in the vanilla.
Gradually add the flour mixture, beating well after each addition. Fold in all the chocolate chips and walnuts.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Flatten the dough slightly with the back of a fork.
Bake until golden, about 15 minutes. Cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
Sincere apologies to Mary who provided this recipe a long time ago. And these cookies are wonderful.
