Fayetteville Courthouse Painting Almost Complete; Street Paving Project Upcoming
The culverts at 955 and W. Market St. have been cleared of debris by the Union Pacific Railroad. Precinct Two will be paving selected city streets in the next few weeks. The painting of the courthouse and the gazebo is almost complete. As stated earlier this year, a generous grant from the Fayetteville Lions Club helped with repairs of the courthouse floors. Donations are always accepted for the courthouse and grounds upkeep.
Fire Danger
Chief Noviske warns everyone to be extremely careful in these dangerous, dry conditions and be aware that anything may start a fire: cigarettes, welding and chains dragging from trailers. And with a heavy wind, fires spread rapidly. The County Judge issued a press release on the County website: https:// www.co.fayette.tx.us.
