Fayetteville Courthouse to be Painted
An important reminder from the City: Fireworks are prohibited within the city limits of Fayetteville.
Several items of importance took place at the most recent City Council meeting:
• Justice of the Peace (JP) Jamie Moreau was appointed Fayetteville Municipal Court Judge at the most recent City Council meeting. Moreau will continue to serve in her position as JP and will enforce city ordinances as necessary.
• Councilman Neal Doty has been re-elected Mayor Pro Tem and will serve until his council term is up.
• Approval was provided for the Fayetteville courthouse and gazebo to be painted. If citizens wish to make donations to the Courthouse Fund, there is additional work to be performed. Contact the City.
• The Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department and the City have renewed their contract. The agreement is for 20 years.
• Updates and revisions to HOT (Hotel Occupancy Tax) reimbursement forms were approved.
• The city council accepted a gift of local property. Information will be forthcoming.

Recommendations
For a sweeter summer for all, keep those recommendations for shows and books coming in. Send to newsinfayetteville@ gmail.com.
Check out Acorn TV. Lots of shows revolve around food (Aftertaste) or wine (Under the Vines), or both, like Recipes for Love and Murder with Maria Conan Doyle of the Outlander series.
“The Beer Drinkers Guide to God” by William B. Miller (aka Fr. Miller) “....is highly enjoyable and spiritually didactic as well—both being great traits for a summer read. It tells the life and travels of our Fr. Miller as well.” Recommended by Martin Payne. William “Father Bill” Miller presides over St. Cecilia’s in Round Top.
Celebrations
Happy Birthday wishes are extended to: James Korenek, Roy Kovar and Wayne Fruge- 30; Gracie Dyer and Justin Pietsch-July 2; Dan Stepan and Morgan Krebs-July 5.
