Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Shareholders Meet, Board Members Appointed

Fayette Memorial Funeral Home recently held their Annual Shareholders Meeting. The meeting was led by James Wostarek and Tanya Clark-Landreth (Board Members). Jennifer Bernshausen, Funeral Director in Charge since 2024, gave the 2025 report highlighting one of the most successful years since opening. A dividend check was distributed to shareholders.

Fayette Memorial is community owned by 62 shareholders. They offer professional and compassionate full-service funerals and memorial services along with having an on-site crematorium. They also offer cremation services for several other funeral homes in Fayette, Colorado, Austin, Lee, and Wharton counties.

The appointed 2026 Board of Directors include James Wostarek, Jim Kothmann, Kristin Muras, David “Bud” Evanicky, Tanya Clark-Landreth (Secretary), Roy Pieper (Vice President) and Jennifer Bernshausen (President). Fayette Memorial would like to thank for their continued service; James Wostarek (20 years, President 8 years), Jim Kothmann (20 years, Secretary for 11 years), Roy Pieper (14 years, Vice President 9 years), Bud Evanicky (10 years), and Kristin Muras (7 years).

Employees include Licensed Funeral Directors, Jennifer Bernshausen (FDIC) and Larry Landreth (Embalmer); Director of Operations, Tanya Clark-Landreth; funeral staff, Roy Mitchell, Lesley Karonika, Richard Cernoch, and Kash Wessels; and preplanning specialists, Jennifer Bernshausen, Lesley Karonika, Kathy Reierson-Cernoch, and Charlee Wessels.

The Board and staff look forward to the continual growth and expansion into surrounding counties. They also have plans to be involved in more community events and fundraisers throughout these counties in 2026. Business plans and new marketing strategies are being implemented continually to better serve families.
