Fayette Electric Cooperative (FEC) invites all members to attend its Annual Membership Meeting on Wednesday, July 15, at the KC Community Center, located at 190 South Brown Street in La Grange. Registration will start at 5:30 p.m., and the business meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.

Members who register between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. will receive a $20 energy credit and be entered for a chance to win one of many door prizes awarded throughout the evening.

To assist with convenience and accessibility, Ewald Kubota of La Grange will provide utility vehicles so FEC employees may transport members from the parking lot to the entrance.

Before the business meeting, attendees can enjoy a variety of games, including Plinko and a Wheel of Fortune- style game, for opportunities to win additional prizes. Members are also encouraged to stop by the safety booth for valuable safety information and giveaways.

Families are welcome, and children 10 years of age may register to win one of five children’s door prizes.

A highlight of the evening will be the “Luck of the Draw” Scholarship drawing. High school graduates who applied for an FEC scholarship this year but were not selected are encouraged to attend with a parent or guardian for a chance to be randomly selected to receive a scholarship during the meeting.

Fayette County 4-H members, leaders, and parentvolunteers will serve refreshments during the event.

During the business portion of the meeting, members will participate in cooperative governance by voting on director positions. Director Clayton Wessels (District 6) and Director David A. Stancik (District 7) are both up for re-election following nominations made at their respective district meetings in May.

All members should have received the July issue of Texas Co-op Power magazine, which includes the cooperative’s Annual Report and a registration card. Members are encouraged to bring their registration card and door prize ticket, located on the back cover of the Annual Report, to help expedite the check-in process.

This year’s registration card includes a barcode that will be scanned for faster registration.

FEC encourages all members to mark their calendars and join in an evening of fellowship, fun, and cooperative business.
