Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Reports January 2026 Activity

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports activities of Fayette County Sheriff Deputies for the month of January 2026.

Sergeant Ron Naumann responded to an ATV accident near Fayetteville. One male was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Sgt. Naumann also responded to a RV fire near Ledbetter. The American Red Cross responded to assist with housing for the victim.

Deputy Josh Jones responded to take an assault report at a residence on North Church Street in Fayetteville. A report was taken and there is an active investigation ongoing.

Deputy Cody Williams conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 10 for a traffic violation. After a consent search, ten bundles of cocaine were located in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center for booking.

Deputy Herman Olvera responded to a bulldozer fire on Allen Road. Deputy Olvera also responded to a theft on Gebert Road where two chainsaws were stolen.

Deputy James Ulbig took a report in reference to fraud and a theft report. The theft is under active investigation.

Sergeant Duane Meagher assisted with a disturbance call on State Highway 71 where a male was arrested for Public Intoxication after getting into an altercation on a charter bus. Sgt. Meagher also assisted with a mental health subject off of Pavlica Road. That subject was evaluated and transported to a hospital for treatment.

Deputy Joe Gonzales observed an abandoned vehicle on Baca Road. It was parked in the roadway. The vehicle was removed from the roadway. Deputy Gonzales responded to a property on Anchor Ranch Loop in reference to the gate to the property being left open and the chain on the gate being cut. A report was taken.

Deputy Jason Fowler was dispatched to an apartment near the intersection of FM 2145 and US 77 for a disturbance. The disturbance was verbal only and parties were separated. Deputy Fowler also responded to East Radhost School Road for an inquest. A report was completed. Deputy Fowler also responded to an inquest on Mach Road. A report was completed.

Deputy Noah Geer responded to Carmine in reference to trespassing. Deputy Geer towed an abandoned vehicle. Geer observed a vehicle traveling at excessive speeds on Interstate 10. The driver was arrested for reckless driving.

Deputy Wesly Arrison responded to an address on Schuster Road in reference to a parking complaint. The vehicle was illegally blocking a driveway and was removed. Deputy Arrison responded to a convenience store in Carmine in reference to a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was recovered and the case was turned over to Texas DPS CID.

Jail Administrator Brad Neville reports that Fayette County Correction Officers booked in 42 individuals for the month of January. Neville reports that the Jail Staff transported 5 individual(s) to Texas Department of Criminal Justice Facilities throughout the State to begin serving their sentences for crimes committed in Fayette County.
