Fayette County Narcotics Seize Cocaine During Traffic Stop

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Saturday, Sept. 24, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, Jeremy Ellison, stopped a black Nissan 350 Z eastbound on Interstate 10 at mile marker 673 at approximately 10:40 a.m. for a traffic violation. After speaking to the driver and passenger many criminal indicators were observed and consent to search the vehicle was granted.

A search of the vehicle revealed an aftermarket compartment built into the back wall. The compartment was accessed and 40 bricks of Cocaine was located.

A total weight of approximately 101.8 lbs. and a street value of $4 million dollars. The driver, Sylvia Gonzales Salinas (44) and passenger, Rolando Jr. Guerra (49), were arrested for felony drug possession and taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
