Fayette County Extension Association Attends Conference

Recently members of the Fayette County Extension Association attended the Annual District 11 Texas Extension Education Association Spring Conference. This year it was hosted by the Lavaca County Extension Education Clubs in Hallettsville.
The business meeting included Membership Award presentations along with the annual District 11 Youth Scholarship winner. Discussion was also held regarding the upcoming State Conference which District 11 members will cohost with District 9.
Special Guest Speaker, Ravonne McCray, with Brazos Valley Injury Prevention Coalition & Statewide Initiative gave an educational session on the Texas Mature Driver and CarFit programs. These topics provide resources which promote driver awareness and safety.
With there being no further business the conference concluded with an invitation from San Patricio Extension Education members for the 2023 District 11 Fall Officer Workshop which will be held in Aransas Pass.
