Fayette County Elections Website Rated ‘Outstanding’ by League of Women Voters

In preparation for the 2022 General Election, the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Texas completed its ninth review of county election websites. The Fayette County Elections Office was named among 35 counties the LWV rated as “outstanding.”

Fayette was among smallest counties to make the list. LWV rated the counties based on how well county election websites provide their citizens with up-to-date, useful and accessible information on how, when and where to vote.

“The League acknowledges that the 2022 General Election in Texas has been conducted under the continuing stress of a new, massive election bill, Senate Bill 1, which created challenges for the Secretary of State, county election officials and Texas voters. County election officials are under additional strain due to wrongful accusations of election fraud, misinformation and disinformation.” said Joyce LeBombard, president of the League of Women Voters of Texas. “We will continue to support our hardworking Texas election officials, and provide voter education to encourage voters to participate in our elections.”
